Have you heard of Colour Therapy?

Color therapy, also known as chromotherapy, is based on the idea that different colours can have an impact on our moods and emotions. While scientific evidence on the effectiveness of color therapy is limited, many people believe that certain colours can indeed influence creativity and overall well-being.

A colour for everyone

For example, it is often suggested that warm colours like red and orange can promote energy and enthusiasm, potentially boosting creativity and motivation. Meanwhile, cool colours like blue and green are thought to have a calming effect, which may help reduce stress and encourage a clearer, more focused mind for creative thinking.

My favourite 2 colours are purple and green… I feel happy, calm and creative when I am wearing, working with and in an environment with these colours..through in a little mustard for an extra smile

Do you find yourself selecting to familiar colours when you are creating your art? I know my watercolour paint palate has a few worn down favourites and if I look at my collection of wool there is definitely a collection of greens I am attracted to.
